Small Group Haven

I graduated from UCLA in Spring 1997, with a degree in Economics. As a member of Christian Students during my undergraduate years, what I appreciated the most was our small group meetings. Not only did these meetings allow me to fellowship with other seeking Christian undergraduates, but the meetings also introduced me to graduate students, working professionals and families in the UCLA Bruin community who all dearly loved the Lord Jesus Christ. Those times were definitely times of pursuing and enjoying Him. Even after graduating from UCLA, I remained involved with the small group meetings.

After working in corporate finance for three years, I resigned and began to serve the Lord full-time. This past school year, ‘02-’03 was my first year back at UCLA, serving with Christian Students. It has been an awesome experience of enjoying and pursuing Christ with fellow Bruins! Things are still the same at UCLA – the construction, the long lines to purchase textbooks – but praise Him, our God is fresh and enlivening! So fellow Bruins, as the apostle Paul exhorts in the book of Philippians, let’s pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called us upward!
